The War Hits Home at Cuppy’s
Today several of my co-worker’s, here at Cuppy’s, husbands and wives are deploying to Iraq. The mood is melancholy. My heart is going out to these friends and coworkers and their families. This being a military town we’ve always been very supportive of our troops and all the military members and familes around the world. But for some reason today we all feel like a part of us is being put in harms way. Not like the whole Cuppy’s/Java Jo’z/Medina articles on the internet out there, this is deeper.
This past Christmas, we sent coffee and smoothies to troops stationed in Iraq and Afghanastan. Just a little taste of home for these brave souls. The thank you letter they sent touched everyone here to our souls. Now today we’re being touched again.
Today as we go about our lives, remember that others are putting their very life on the line so that we can live in freedom and participate in the very declaration of our independence…the right to exist in peace.

Here at Cuppy’s, this is as close as I’ve been to knowing someone going to Iraq. Some have already gone and come back. Families do come in various forms, sizes and structures. My prayers and warmest thoughts are with those here at Cuppy’s and everywhere. I know for a fact that The Family here is a strong organization that stands by…and comes together at tender times such as this. Love to all, Pam
We at Cuppy’s Love & Support our troops here and abroad as we belong to a strong Military Community. We Love & Support our families here at Cuppy’s who are military based. My family’s prayers and warmest wishes go to everyone who, weather they are spouse or the one out there fighting, is out there fighting for our freedom.
The coffee that they recieved I know must have been great;I know the taste! But haveing been there my self I know how inportant it is to have the prayers and support from all of us back home means. Cuppys employs vets and family members of active duty personel. With Hurlburt FLD.and Eglin AFB in our community we feel the pain of seperation. Thank you for stepping up and serving our country, I’ll buy you Cuppys coffee any time.
As a retiree myself I especially know how hard it is to deployed overseas without your family OR to let one go. As a proud member of the Cuppy’s Coffie team I can testify that they support our troops 100%. Our prayers extend out to the military member’s families and continued prayers for their speedy and safe return. I am proud to be a American and will defend her faithfully….always. GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS!!!!
My Husband just left for Afghanistan on Friday and the feeling of having Cuppy’s as my second family is tremendous. I can feel everyones thought and prayers. It feels great to know that if at anytime, I need anything these guys are right here behind me. I have seen first hand, even before my husband deployed, that the staff here at Cuppy’s has a love for there country and the troops who work diligently to keep her safe. I for one, definately appreciate and love the support. I could not do it without them!!!
GOD BLESS AMERICA LAND THAT WE LOVE!!!
Last week, a fellow co-worker came into work late because she had to drop off her husband who left that day for Afghanistan. I found this out because she was sobbing at her desk. As I thought about how bad it would hurt to say goodbye to my husband for a year or more while knowing that he would be in constant danger, I searched for the words that would console. I opened my mouth and nothing came out. How scared these wives, husbands and children must be. I am not in a military family but I feel the void just knowing that our bright stars are facing danger everyday so that I can have a better life. Thanks to the troops fighting oversees and thanks to the families that are making sacrifices as well. My heart goes out. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
While, neither myself nor any of my direct family are in the military, I have many close friends who are or that have someone who is. Two of my good friends here at Cuppy’s just sent their husbands to Iraq. It has not been easy on any of them or the kids. Wives, children, husbands and friends are left to await the home coming of our nations heroes. My family and I are proud of you all and appreciate everything you do to make sure we are all safe and protected. Our thoughts and prayers with you all and the families you have to be without. We here at Cuppy’s will take care of them for you until you return to all of us safe!
My brother-in-law is a Marine that has just returned from Iraq last week. While he was away, he missed his one year anniversary, his son’s first birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and other family occasions. The things that get these men and women through their long absences from family and friends is the packages and letters they get. If we don’t show our support, they lose track of what they are fighting for. Thank you Cuppy’s for brightening the lonely days in the dessert for our nation’s heroes with your care packages. God bless our troops and bring them home safely!
